The Chief FOIA Officers Council is co-chaired by the Directors of OGIS and the Department of Justice Office of Information Policy (OIP), and is tasked with developing recommendations to increase agency compliance and efficiency and to share agency best practices and innovative approaches. At the October 4th meeting, attendees will have an opportunity to hear the Co-Chairs discuss the Final Report and Recommendations of the 2016-2018 term of the FOIA Advisory Committee and complementary OIP guidance to agencies covering the same general topics. This discussion will be followed by a Q & A Session, and there will also be an opportunity to hear public comments.
