The Chief Data Officers (CDO) Council meets publicly on Friday, February 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET to provide updates about its activities and the implementation of the Chief Data Officer role across the government. OGIS Director Alina M. Semo serves as an ex-officio member on the CDO Council per Recommendation 2020-10 from the FOIA Advisory Committee. Director Semo works to ensure that the Council understands federal recordkeeping and FOIA requirements.
The meeting will include panel discussions on how CDOs are affecting their agency missions and collaborating across the government to address data challenges. There will also be presentations about the role of data in key administration priorities such as Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA).
