We are excited to announce that Senior US District Court Judge Reggie B. Walton of the US District Court for the District of Columbia will join us on Monday March 16th for Sunshine Week at the National Archives. While we regret that Senior US District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth, along with his biographer, Adam Pearlman, are no longer able to join us, we are excited to welcome Judge Walton to NARA.
The program, scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the William G. McGowan Theater, will begin with Archivist of the United States David S. Ferriero interviewing Judge Walton. A panel discussion, “The Transparency Landscape,” follows. Panelists are Michael Bekesha of Judicial Watch; Nate Jones of The Washington Post; Matthew Kelley from the law firm of Ballard Spahr; and Katie Townsend of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. Kirsten Mitchell of the Office of Government Information Services will moderate.
If you plan to attend in person, please register by Thursday March 12. The event will also be live streamed on the National Archives YouTube channel.
