Please join OGIS as we host our Annual Open Meeting from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, July 24. We will hear from OGIS Director Alina M. Semo about OGIS’s annual report. In addition, two members of the 2022-2024 FOIA Advisory Committee, Jason R. Baron of the University of Maryland and Patricia Weth of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., will share information about the recent term and the Committee’s 16 recommendations. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to present oral or written statements, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act statute.
All are welcome to watch the livestream of this event on the National Archives YouTube channel or attend the meeting virtually through Webex. To attend the meeting via Webex, you must register online before 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, July 22. OGIS will send instructions to all registrants for accessing the meeting.
To present oral statements at the meeting, you must register to attend via Webex. Public comments will be limited to three minutes per individual. You may submit written comments in advance via the OGIS comments portal. For information on submitting public comments, visit our policy page. Please note that we will not answer questions about specific OGIS cases. After the meeting, we will post the meeting video to the National Archives’ YouTube Channel and post a transcript of the event to our website.
