Time is running out for nominations to the 2024-2026 FOIA Advisory Committee. The Committee studies the FOIA landscape across the executive branch and advises the Archivist of the United States on improvements to FOIA administration. We seek a wide range of FOIA experts from both inside and outside of government. Details about nominating yourself or someone else can be found in the Federal Register Notice and this blog post. The deadline for applications is Monday, July 15 at 5 p.m. ET. Nominations should be sent to foia-advisory-committee@nara.gov. The Archivist of the United States will review the nominations and appoint members later this summer prior to the first meeting of the new term on September 9, 2024.
