There is still time to register for the upcoming Chief FOIA Officers (CFO) Council meeting, which takes place virtually from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 29, 2021. The meeting is open to Chief FOIA Officers, FOIA professionals and members of the public. We invite attendees to either watch the livestream of the meeting on the National Archives’ YouTube Channel or register by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, April 27 to attend the meeting virtually through Webex. If you wish to offer oral comments during the meeting, you must attend via Webex to do so.
The Council, co-chaired by the Directors of the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS) and the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Information Policy (OIP), is tasked with developing recommendations to increase agency compliance and efficiency and to share agency best practices and innovative approaches.
The upcoming meeting will feature an overview of the Council for new CFOs and updates from OGIS, OIP, and the Council’s Technology Committee and Committee Cross-Agency Collaboration and Innovation (COCACI).
