Mark your calendar and plan to attend the next Chief FOIA Officers Council meeting on Thursday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. for some important updates. The meeting is open to Chief FOIA Officers, FOIA professionals and the public. We invite you to either watch the livestream of the meeting on the National Archives’ YouTube Channel or register by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, November 1, to attend the meeting virtually through Webex. If you wish to offer oral public comments during the meeting, you must attend via Webex to do so.
The Council is co-chaired by the Directors of the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS) and the Office of Information Policy (OIP).
This meeting will include updates from OGIS and OIP,including information about a new Chief FOIA Officers Council website and the General Services Administration’s Business Standards Council. The Chief FOIA Officers Council’s Technology Committee and Committee on Cross-Agency Collaboration and Innovation (COCACI) will also offer updates, and three agency FOIA programs will be spotlighted: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of State, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Public comments will be at the end of the meeting.
